Where Charity Meets Business
The Bishopbriggs Media Centre, a not-for-profit arm of Cue and Review Print Speaking to the Blind (Deanwood Ltd), is making significant strides towards becoming a community hub. Cue and Review have already raised over £390,000, a substantial amount, towards owning the building outright. This progress is a testament to the support of our current and past tenants, for which we are truly grateful.
Join us online to celebrate our achievements at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Cue and Review Recording Service Limited on Wednesday, December 11th, at 6:30 PM. Our Scottish charity number is SCO18016.
The strength of our charity lies in the participation of our listeners, readers, and supporters—both past and present. For over 20 years, we have proudly raised more than £400,000 to build our community hub, with all rental profits dedicated to uplifting those living with sight loss in East Dunbartonshire and across Scotland. However, our journey can only continue if we successfully elect dedicated office-bearers who are ready to uphold the responsibilities of our trustees.
We seek passionate representatives from our readers and listeners to ensure we remain a vibrant, volunteer-led organisation. We are specifically looking for a Governance Subcommittee Lead to also serve as our Secretary and a Finance Subcommittee Lead to prepare financial reports and work closely with our accountant on management and annual accounts.
Our previous trustees have devoted their efforts, to raising 90% of the funds for the Buy a Brick Appeal and developing a modern talking newspaper service. Let us not risk their legacy. Join us via camera or phone at the meeting to amplify your support.
